If your child is below or above these specific ranges they should be taken to a doctor for further evaluation. A person with a very low pulse rate may suffer from a disorder called bradycardia while a person with a very high pulse rate may suffer from tachycardia. Both of these disorders can be dangerous in adults and children depending on the exact speed and rhythm.
